Activity Feed Missing Data in HubSpot – Troubleshooting Guide

If your Activity Feed in HubSpot is missing data—such as email opens, clicks, replies, or logged activities—follow the steps below to diagnose and resolve the issue.

Check Email Tracking Setup

For email activities to appear in the Activity Feed, the email must be tracked using HubSpot         tools.

Gmail

Verify Your Inbox is Connected

    Make sure your email inbox is properly connected to HubSpot:

  • Go to Settings > General > Email.
  • Under Connected Accounts, check that your inbox is listed and connected.
  • Make sure Email Tracking is enabled.

Review Activity Feed Filters

Sometimes activities are missing because they're being filtered out.

  • Open a contact, deal, or company record.
  • Click the Activity tab.
  • Use the filter dropdown to ensure all relevant activity types (Emails, Calls, Tasks, Notes, etc.) are selected.

Clear Your Browser Cache or Try Incognito Mode

Corrupted browser data can interfere with how activity is displayed.

  • Clear your browser’s cache and cookies.
  • Try logging into HubSpot using an incognito/private window.
  • Make sure you're using a supported browser (e.g., Google Chrome, Firefox).

Enable JavaScript and Disable Extensions

The Activity Feed requires JavaScript to function properly.

  •  Ensure JavaScript is enabled in your browser.
  • Temporarily disable browser extensions (like ad blockers or script blockers) that could interfere with HubSpot.

Check for Integration or Workflow Errors

If activities from third-party tools (e.g., email integrations, CRMs, or lead tracking tools) are missing:

  • Review the settings of the integration (e.g., Leadinfo, Gmail).
  • Ensure that any workflows that log activities are functioning properly and that the records are enrolled as expected.

Confirm Activity Limits (for Free Users)

If you're using a free HubSpot account, be aware of notification limits:

  • Free accounts are limited to 200 notification events per month.
  • Once this limit is reached, additional activity notifications will not appear until the next month.

Test with a New Tracked Email

To verify the feed is working:

  • Send a tracked email using HubSpot tools.
  • Refresh the contact's timeline or the Activity Feed dashboard.
  • See if the email open/click/reply appears.

    If it does, the issue may be limited to historical data or specific records.
